The team at Westongrove wanted to update you about referrals to hospitals, as we have had a few questions about it, and we want to give you as much information about it as we can.
As it stands, every routine referral to the hospitals is now on stand by and patients are only being seen if they are triaged as urgent or referred for suspected cancers. This is because there is a long list of patients whose appointments have been delayed at the hospital and they are currently working through them. We currently know that the diagnostic centre (USS/CT/MRI scans) are working on an 8-week booking delay at present, and this is similar in other departments as well at the hospital.
We would ask patients to contact the hospital directly to discuss the waiting times, before contacting us, as they will be able to give you more information, this is the number you should call: 01296 315653. For any MSK queries patients should call 0333 999 2586.
If you have an issue with your referral that has been confirmed by the hospital, then you should contact us, and we will be able to help you.
