We are pleased to let you know that our first flu clinics will be held on Saturday 8th October at Bedgrove Surgery and Wendover Health Centre for patients who are age 65 years or over. It is essential that you book an appointment and the quickest way to do this is to use the AskFirst app. If you haven’t already downloaded it, you can do so by visiting the Ask First website.
To manage demand, and not overload our system we will be sending text invitations in alphabetical order – Surnames beginning with A and B will be sent invitations via text today. Please don’t worry if you aren’t invited to book for 8th October as we will be having many more clinics across all three of our sites running through October and November once we have further stock.
A few points to note:
- Our car parks can get very busy so please walk, or use public transport.
- We do our best to keep the queue moving, but you may be required to wait outside of our buildings so come prepared for the weather.
- Please wear a face mask if possible.
- If you have COVID or any symptoms, please stay safely at home and don’t come to the surgery. You can cancel and rebook your appointment using the Ask First app.
- We will contact patients by other means if we don’t have a mobile number and are unable to text, nobody will be forgotten.
- You can still call the practice to book an appointment, but it will be quicker to use Ask First.
As soon as we have further stock, we will release additional dates so keep an eye out for updates.
If you have already had your flu vaccine, or have an appointment booked elsewhere you don’t need to tell us, but if you would like to decline having a flu vaccine this year please email westongrove.flu@nhs.net to let us know and we will ensure your clinical record is updated.
