At the time of going to press 11,340 Westongrove patients have now had their COVID Vaccination which is 38% of our patient population.
We have clinics running this week at Stoke Mandeville Stadium on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th March. Please could anyone in priority groups 1-6 who is eligible but has not booked a vaccine yet use the link you will have received in your invitation text to book your appointment or contact us directly if you need assistance using our email: westongrove.flu@nhs.net
We are particularly urging people in priority group 6, aged between 16-64 with an underlying health condition or carers, to book their appointment or contact us by email. There are over 750 people in this priority group who haven’t yet booked an appointment. If you DO NOT wish to have a vaccine, please email us at westongrove.flu@nhs.net to let us know, so that we can respect your wishes and stop inviting you.
We have already started to invite people in priority group 7, aged 60-64 years. This week we have invited the remaining 526 patients in cohort 7, who according to our clinical system, haven’t yet had a vaccination.
Whilst we always receive notification of anyone who receives their vaccinations we are not informed when you have booked an appointment at a different vaccination site. This might mean that you receive a reminder from us to book for your vaccination when you have in fact already booked an appointment. If this does happen then please attend the appointment that you have booked. Please be assured that it won’t have been cancelled by us. We want everyone to be vaccinated as swiftly and safely as possible.
Overall our teams are doing a marvellous job of trying to contact so many people multiple times whilst trying to maintain our usual services. The telephone lines are very busy, so please help us to help you by responding as requested above. Also, if you are able to use the Ask NHS app for any new acute or urgent needs that woul be a huge help to us in providing you with the support you need in a prompt fashion.
