Practice Administration Team
The team at Westongrove is made up of clinical and non-clinical staff led by a Senior Management Team consisting of a GP Partner, Operations & Development Manager and Human Resources & Finance Manager.
The day-to-day operation of Westongrove is overseen by the Senior Management Team and three site managers based at Aston Clinton Surgery, Bedgrove Surgery and Wendover Health Centre.
Each surgery has its own reception and administrative support staff that work with our clinical team to deliver the care, support and services that our patients need.

Reception
Our receptionists are the first people that you will speak to when you call any of our three practices. They coordinate and organise appointments with clinical staff and support the day-to-day smooth running of the practice. They are specially trained to ask the right questions to ensure they can connect you to the right clinician, healthcare professional or member of our administration team.
Medical Secretaries
Our medical secretaries are able to help patients with referrals, access to medical records, administrative forms and other general clinical enquiries. Our central admin team is based at our Bedgrove Surgery but support the needs of our patients across all three Westongrove practices.

Dr Alex Bates
Managing Partner
Dr Bates is a GP trainer and also works on a Tuesday as a Buckinghamshire VTS training programme director and is the managing partner and accountable clinical director of Westongrove PCN. Dr Bates has particular clinical interests in Women’s Health, serious Mental Illness, Respiratory Medicine, Learning Disabilities and Veterans Health Care. She is passionate about improving access to healthcare for hard to reach groups as per her clinical interests.

He has been with Westongrove since 2005, was a partner and GP trainer until 2020, and has now returned in a part-time role. He has particular interests in Men’s Health and cardiology. Westongrove work with First Point Physio to offer face to face and telephone calls with a team of physiotherapists. Face to face appointments can be offered to patients at each of our sites- subject to availability.
